Overview

A top quality yet economical matt emulsion paint for walls and ceilings, Dulux Trade Supermatt is easy to apply and gives exceptional coverage of up to 18m2 per litre. Suitable for all interior wall and ceiling surfaces, particularly new plaster that is still drying out. Can be applied with a brush, roller, conventional or airless sprayer. Not suitable for heated surfaces such as radiators.

Preparation

For best results, make sure surfaces to be painted are sound, clean, dry and free from all defective or poorly adhering material, dirt, grease and salts.

• Remove all loose and defective paint. Pre-1960s paint surfaces over wood and metal may contain harmful lead, so special precautions should be taken when painting these surfaces.
• Wash where necessary to remove dirt, grease and powdery or dusty residues. Rinse with clean water and allow to dry.
• Surfaces that remain powdery after thorough preparation should be sealed with an appropriate .
• Where necessary, rub down and then wipe off with a damp, lint free cloth to avoid dust.

Application

Always follow the manufacturers instructions found on the tin, it is recommended that a small test area is applied before painting the entire surface to ensure compatibility.

• Stir thoroughly before use. Apply with a brush, roller or sprayer in temperatures exceeding 8°C.
• Seal new or bare surfaces, with a coat of up to 1 part clean water to 3 parts Dulux Trade Supermatt, and finish with 2 coats of thinned Supermatt - up to 1 part paint to 5 parts clean water.
