Overview
Dulux Trade Ultra Grip Primer is a two pack primer - Base and Activator. Both parts need to be purchased separately and mixed together for it to work effectively. Please add both to your basket.
Ultra Grip Primer is specifically formulated for particularly difficult surfaces, to provide excellent adhesion for paint. Ideal for glazed ceramic wall tiles, laminates, glass, anodised aluminium, powder-coated steel and stove enamel surfaces. For interior and exterior use and compatible with Dulux Trade paint systems.

Preparation
For best results, ensure surfaces to be painted are sound, clean and dry (new surfaces particularly must be fully dry) and free from all loose or powdery material using a stiff fibre brush. Where necessary, thoroughly degrease, followed by rinsing with fresh, clean water.
- Thoroughly rub down previously painted surfaces, using ‘wet flatting’ methods where possible, then wipe off with a damp, lint free cloth. Special precautions should be taken during surface preparation of pre-1960s paint surfaces over wood and metal as they may contain harmful lead.

Application
Always follow the manufacturers instructions found on the tin, it is recommended that a small test area is applied before painting the entire surface to ensure compatibility.
- Stir thoroughly before use and apply with a brush or short pile roller only. Do not spray
- Mixing Ratio: the Ultra Grip Activator and Base have been supplied in the correct proportions - 0.8L base and 0.2L Activator = 1L total.
- Add all of the Activator to the Base container and mix thoroughly for at least 5 minutes, until the product is smooth and even. Do not mix part units. Badly activated or incorrectly mixed materials will affect performance and may cause early failure or discolouration.
- Thinning: When thoroughly mixed for at least five minutes, the product will be ready to use and thinning should not be necessary. If required, add a maximum of 10% clean water to activated primer.
- Recoat before 7 days for optimum intercoat adhesion
Pot life: up to 6 hours at 20°C.
