This gas tank with key switch is a reproduction of the gas tank used on Harley-Davidson Model 125 and Model 165 motorcycles from 1948 to 1959. It is not exact, but a close reproduction that bolts up perfectly to stock frames. The mounting tabs on the Lowbrow Customs reproduction gas tank are designed for strength. Early model Model 125 gas tank tabs were prone to breaking. Later Model 125 and Model 165 gas tanks had reinforced tabs, very similar to our reproduction gas tank, that weld to the outside of the gas tank shell for added strength.
